25 UX Mistakes Crypto Exchanges Still Make
The conversion leaks that still show up on live exchanges — from wallet connect to withdrawal — and what to fix first.
Read articleToken and exchange landing pages that convert without fake APY, fake avatars, or a whitepaper dump above the fold.
A crypto landing page has one job: get the right person to the next honest step — waitlist, docs, app, or KYC — without inventing traction. Token dashboard design and exchange marketing fail the same way: they sell a protocol instead of a user outcome.
UXLaunch Lab designs these as landing pages and websites, then hands the product to Web3 Product Design.
Vesting charts and emission schedules belong below the product story, or on a dedicated token page. Founders over-index because the spreadsheet is done. Users over-index on “can I lose this in one click?”
Screenshots of the actual product beat 3D coin renders. If the product is not screenshot-able yet, you are running an awareness page — say so. Do not mock a dashboard you cannot ship.
Never invent testimonials. If you have none, omit the section. See Why Trust Matters in Blockchain UX.
If the product charges fees, say so on the landing page. Hidden fee pages feel like the same bait-and-switch as hidden gas in-product.
Risk: one short paragraph on what can go wrong (smart contract, custody, liquidation). Link to docs. This is conversion and ethics.
These pages get hammered by bots and ads. Ship them like any other marketing site: fast, indexed, no 12MB WebGL hero. Keywords such as crypto exchange UI UX belong in titles only if the page is actually about that product.
